About Us

One of the first candle companies associated with  Pride of Dakota, Heavenly Scents, Inc. began in 2000 by our daughter Ginger Anderson as a home based candle business.   Her business quickly grew because of the quality of her products.  Following the birth of her 4th child, her parents (Monty & Dottie) began to help her and expanded the business to where we are today.

Heavenly Scents offers soy candles, melts, snaps, diffusers, smelly jellies, and car scents, all handmade in our shop in Menoken ND.  We currently have approximately 80 scents in our line of products.

Heavenly Scents offers fund raisers, retail, and wholesale opportunties.

Over the years our customers have told us that we have a wonderful quality product, and we would like to offer that quality to you.

Heavenly Scents is a proud and longstanding member of Pride of Dakota.

WHY SOY

Over the many years that we have been in business, and after trying a variety of waxes from various companies, we have found an excellent soy wax that delivers the best scent throw of any candle.  Soy wax is clean burning , biodegradable, long burning, and friendly to the environment.

FAQ's

How long should a candle be burned?  The first time you light your candle you need to be home long enough for the candle to melt the wax to the edge of the jar.  Typically it takes 1 hour for every inch, so if you have a 3 inch diameter candle it can take up to 3 hours for the top to melt.  Once you do this your candle will not tunnel.

Should the wick of my candle be trimmed?

Before lighting for the first time, trim your wick to 1/4 inch.  Thereafter, always trim it to 1/4 inch after your candle has cooled and solidified.  Never trim when it is liquid, as the wick can fall into the wax and cause sooting.
